New Building Development

Today, there are 160 nuns living in the nunnery.  Similar to a monastery, the nunnery provides opportunities for education and improved economic well being.  In 2011, Nyima Foundation gave a grant of $10,000 for the construction of their living facility.  This will help improve the living conditions for the nuns.  Left picture shows ongoing construction of the nuns’ living quarters.
